China Industrial Valve Development History

2021-10-25

The industrial valve production started relatively late in China. In the 1960s, products such as single-seat valves and double-seat valves were developed, mainly imitating the products of the former Soviet Union. Due to the backwardness of the machinery industry, the machining accuracy is low. Therefore, the product leakage is relatively large, but it can still meet the general control requirements of the industrial production process at that time.

In the 1970s, with the expansion of industrial production scale and the increase in industrial process control requirements, some regulating valve products can no longer meet the requirements of production process control, such as the control requirements for high pressure, high pressure drop, low temperature, high temperature and corrosive media.

In the 1980s, with the implementation and implementation of my country's reform and opening policy, backbone enterprises began to organize the introduction of advanced technology and processing equipment such as the design and technology of similar products of foreign valves, so that my country's valve manufacturing technology and product quality have been rapidly improved.

In the 1990s, my country's regulating valve industry also began to develop rapidly after introducing and digesting advanced foreign technologies, filling in some special industrial control gaps, improving the level of my country's regulating valve industry and shortening the gap with foreign countries.

At present, domestic key valve manufacturers have been able to design and manufacture various valves in accordance with international standards such as ISO international standards, DIN German standards, AWWA American standards, and some manufacturers' products have reached the international advanced level.
